Filipino Nurses Association United Kingdom Northern Ireland (FNAUK-NI) and BFS Healthcare Host a Successful 2nd Career Development Conference 2026

Belfast — The Filipino Nurses Association United Kingdom Northern Ireland organisation (FNAUK-NI) and BFS Healthcare Ltd healthcare agency held a hugely successful 2nd Career Development Conference on 6 June 2026 at the Balmoral Hotel in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The theme of the event: 'Inspiring Futures at the 2nd Career Development Conference - Northern Ireland, UK' resonated clearly on the topics presented and discussed. 

From the meticulous planning and preparation behind the event to the insightful presentations delivered by the distinguished speakers, the conference has truly provided a meaningful platform for learning, professional growth, leadership development, and career advancement among healthcare professionals.

The keynote speakers whose expertise, knowledge, and inspiring messages  empowered attendees to pursue excellence in nursing practice and leadership were given special appreciation. Keynote addresses were delivered by Arniel Hernando, Vice President of FNAUK and Lead Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Betsi Cadwaldr University Health Board Bangor North Wales, Jose Ariel Lanada, President of FNAUK and Divisional Lead for Practice, Development, and Education - Oxfordshire University Hospitals, Katrina Apostol, co-lead nurse of the Ethnically Diverse Network in the Royal College of Nursing NI and Advanced Nurse Practitioner - District  Nursing - Belfast Trust NI, Hazelline Buenaventura, FNAUK-NI Regional Director and  Anaesthetic Nurse Specialist - Southeastern Trust NI, Jincy Labade - Northern Trust NI, and Jonah Atos, FNAUK-NI Regional Director and International Nurse Coordinator - Western Trust NI. Their dedication to sharing invaluable insights, in-depth knowledge, and extraordinary professional experiences have made a lasting impact on all the participants. Their resilience and courage were the common threads of priceless values that were deeply woven in the fabrics of their keynote addresses and messages. 

One of the Regional Directors of FNAUK-NI, Rosa Cueto, opened the conference with a heartfelt prayer. 

The Country Director of FNAUK-NI and Director of BFS Healthcare Ltd, Roy Galit,  welcomed every participant warmly with his sincere welcome remarks. A partnership address was meaningfully delivered by Emily Ambat, a director of BFS Healthcare Ltd. 

The oathtaking of the officers of FNAUK-NI was conducted by President Jose Ariel Lanada who also set the tone of the event with his opening remarks. 

The Deputy Chief Nursing Officer  of Northern Ireland, Mary Frances McManus, graced the conference with her presence and message with a powerful and positive influence. 

Northern Ireland Practice and Education Council for Nursing and Midwifery's Senior Professional Officer, Cathy McCusker, delivered an excellent presentation and motivated the audience. 

Feds Murray and Janette Ancog superbly hosted the conference with wit and professionalism. The duo  also shared key insights with energy and wisdom to inspire and empower their listeners.

Jonah Atos led a group game, Human Bingo, which  everyone immensely enjoyed.  The game provided an important opportunity for networking and casual interaction. It filled the conference room with fun and laughter. 

The Q and A segment further empowered the attendees as the panel of speakers addressed their questions and concerns.
