A beautiful tradition, a vibrant community, and a celebration that continues to bring generations together.

Established in 2010 by the Filipino Community Crumlin, the Annual Santacruzan has become a much-loved tradition celebrating faith, culture, heritage and community spirit through its colourful outdoor procession and gathering of Filipino families and friends.

Sharing moments from this year’s celebration — honouring Filipino traditions and showcasing the beauty of community, culture and togetherness here in Ireland.

And as always, the celebration ended the Filipino way — with a joyful salo-salo, where stories were shared, friendships strengthened, and everyone gathered around food and community.

Congratulations and thank you to the Filipino Community Crumlin for continuing this beautiful tradition.

THE FIRST GRAND SANTACRUZAN OF THE KILDARE FILIPINO COMMUNITY, NEWBRIDGE, CO KILDARE

In 2014, Ms Glenda Panes made history in Newbridge, Co. Kildare by bringing the beloved Filipino tradition of the Santacruzan to Newbridge for the very first time, marking the birth of a cultural and religious tradition that continues to thrive in Newbridge and beyond.

Filipino Santacruzan Festival in Northern Ireland

The Filipino Community in Northern Ireland had its first Santacruzan Festival in connection with the Flores de Mayo celebration on 17 May 2026 at St. Anthony's Church in Larne, Northern Ireland. The organizers of the amazing and successful festival were Marc Anthony Sy, Rica Regis, and Maribel Trumata. The meaningful collaboration efforts by the organisers and the different parish group leaders from Larne, Newcastle, Lisburn, Magherafelt, Ballymena, and Antrim catholic groups proved a unified diaspora with faith and tradition at its center. 

The procession was a vibrant spectacle of beautiful queens, (reynas), princes (prinsipes), and angels (anghel) led by the priests,  Fr.  Manuelito Milo (celebrant) and Rev. Fr. Everett Corvera who officiated the mass. 

The choir sang with full hearts, echoing praises of worship with beautiful melodies. 

There was a gathering after the mass in the church hall with a good spread of delicious Filipino food which everyone enjoyed.
